Design Book Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 22, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how PS Design LLC ("PS Design," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use Design Book, our web application for tracking home build, remodel, and single-room design projects (the "Service"), available at designbook-beige.vercel.app.
By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Who We Are
PS Design LLC is a Missouri limited liability company (Entity No. LC014768740). If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or our data practices, you can reach us at paigewrightdesign@gmail.com.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information you provide directly
- Account information: name, email address, password, and other credentials you provide when you register or log in.
- Project information: details about your projects, including project type (new build, remodel, or single room), rooms and categories, selections, vendors, and status updates.
- Documents and files: permits, paperwork, receipts, invoices, floorplans, photos, and other files you upload to the Service.
- Budget and financial tracking data: budget ledgers, itemized costs, and amounts you enter to track project spending.
- Payment information: if you subscribe to a paid plan, our third-party payment processor collects your payment card or bank details on our behalf. We do not store your full payment card number on our own servers — we receive limited information (such as the last four digits and transaction status) needed to manage your subscription.
- Communications: information you provide when you contact us for support or other purposes.
2.2 Information generated by your use of the Service
- Moodboards and AI-render prompts: when you use the Service's export feature to generate an AI-render prompt or moodboard, we process the selection and project details needed to create that export. If this feature sends data to a third-party AI or image-generation service, that service processes only the information required to generate the requested output.
- Usage and device information: log data such as IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, and timestamps, collected automatically as you use the Service.
2.3 Information from third-party service providers
We use the following third-party service providers to operate the Service, and information you provide may be processed by them on our behalf:
- Supabase — authentication and database hosting for your account and project data.
- Vercel — application hosting.
- A third-party payment processor — subscription billing and payment processing.
- A third-party AI/image-generation service — generating render prompts and images from your moodboard exports, where you choose to use that feature.
Each of these providers processes data according to their own privacy policies and security practices, and only accesses the data necessary to provide their service to us.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and maintain your account and authenticate your access to the Service.
- Provide the core features of the Service, including project tracking, budget ledgers, document storage, moodboards, and AI-render prompt exports.
- Process subscription payments and manage billing.
- Communicate with you about your account, updates to the Service, or in response to support requests.
- Monitor, maintain, and improve the security, performance, and functionality of the Service.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. How We Share Your Information
We share information only in the following circumstances:
- With service providers listed in Section 2.3, solely to operate the Service on our behalf.
- With your consent, such as when you choose to export or share project data outside the Service.
- For legal reasons, if required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of PS Design, our users, or others.
- In connection with a business transaction, such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Privacy Policy or a successor policy.
We do not share your project, budget, or document data with other users of the Service unless you explicitly choose to share or export it.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account and project information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.
6. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including relying on the security practices of our infrastructure providers (Supabase and Vercel) for authentication, data storage, and hosting. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Request deletion of your account and associated data.
- Export or receive a copy of your project data.
- Object to or restrict certain processing of your information.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at paigewrightdesign@gmail.com. We will respond within a reasonable time and in accordance with applicable law.
If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know, delete, and opt out of the sale of personal information (which, as noted above, we do not do). If you are located in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, you may have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
8. Cookies and Similar Technologies
The Service uses cookies or similar technologies (including those set by Supabase for authentication) to keep you logged in and to remember your session. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling them may prevent you from logging in or using certain features of the Service.
9. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will take steps to delete it.
10. International Users
The Service is hosted in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, which may have different data protection laws than your country of residence.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Effective date" above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
